Cinesite Internships

Cinesite, one of London's biggest animation and VFX houses, is now accepting entries for paid Summer internships at their London studios.

The programme is open to individuals over the age of 18, with little or no experience of working in the VFX industry, who are eligible to work in the UK.

Where and When?
The internship runs for five weeks from Monday 7th August – Friday 9th September, 2017.

How do you apply?
Applications can be made through a simple online submission form.
In order to complete the form you will need:
  • Your showreel online and easily accessible (Vimeo preferred)
  • Your CV online, or a link to your LinkedIn page
  • A brief personal statement, including any supplemental information we need when reviewing your reel (1000 words max)
How will Cinesite Select the winners?
Judging of applications will be largely based on the standard of work in the demo reel, so you should carefully select what you include, making sure to put your best work up front.

How long should a reel be?
Your reel should be no longer than 3 minutes. If you are including a [group] student project in your reel, be clear in your personal statement about your contribution. For more guidance about what to include, check our showreel advice page

Of the Inspire talent development programme, head of production Caroline Garrett said, “There is a wealth of talented people waiting to get their first break in the VFX industry; twenty years after I started out, I remain grateful for being given that first chance myself. I’m thrilled that we are able to offer this fantastic opportunity to students and post graduates to gain first-hand experience on exciting feature film projects.”

What is the deadline?
The deadline for applications is Friday 7th July.

We strongly recommend that our students apply for opportunties like this. It will be competitive, but even if you don't get it, you will be that much closer to success the next time around. So, what are you waiting for?
